What we make

PT Technologies builds tools for writing that has to be handed in - an essay, a dissertation chapter, a report, a paper. That focus decides how the tools are built. The AI Detector is trained on academic prose rather than general web text. The Citation Generator covers the six styles universities actually ask for. The Paper Finder returns only copies that are legal to read for free.

The company was established in 2026 and is run by the two co-founders named above, working with a small team. We are not venture-funded, which is why the pricing is what it is: one $3.99 subscription rather than a free tier designed to expire.

What we do not build is an essay generator, and we are not going to. The tools here check, tidy, format and find - the mechanical parts of academic work. The thinking stays with the person doing the degree.

How we make money, plainly

Two ways, and it is worth stating both rather than leaving people to guess.

Subscriptions. Standard costs $3.99 a month and raises limits rather than unlocking a separate product: more Paraphraser words, much larger AI Detector scans, batch scanning and saved history. It cancels from the profile page in one click, and cancelling leaves the account working on the free tier.

Building software for other companies. PT Technologies takes on client projects - web applications, Telegram Mini Apps, and integrations with the systems a business already runs on. That work subsidises the tools here, which is the honest reason a free tier this large is possible.

What does not pay for it: advertising. The free tool pages carried ads briefly in September 2026 and we took them down, because we could not control what was being shown next to writing about academic integrity. There are no ad scripts on this site and no advertising cookies. We do not sell personal data, and we do not sell or license anything anyone pastes into a tool.

What happens to your text

Several tools never send your text anywhere at all. The Word Counter, the Lexical Diversity checker, Image to Text and the PDF and Word converter run entirely in your browser - which is why they work with the network off, and why we could not read that text if we wanted to.

The tools that do use our server - the Paraphraser, the AI Detector, the citation lookups - process what you send to produce the result you asked for. What is retained is short and listed in the privacy policy: Paraphraser history for subscribers, and a record of each AI Detector scan that stores the score and a 160-character snippet, never the document.

Nothing anyone submits is used to train anything. Deleting your account removes what is stored with it.

Where we stand on AI detection

We build an AI detector and we will tell you plainly that no detector is accurate enough to decide anything on its own. Ours prints that on every page of every report it produces, publishes its error rates, reports when a result is unstable, and sets a higher bar on short text where the evidence is weakest.

That position costs us something commercially - a confident number sells better than an honest one - and we think it is the only defensible way to ship this kind of tool. The reasoning is set out at length in our post on how AI detectors work.

If something on the site is wrong, broken, or overstated, those inboxes are the way to tell us, and we would rather hear it than not.

The company, formally

The Service is operated by PT TECHNOLOGIES LLC, registered as ООО "PT TECHNOLOGIES" - a limited liability company entered in the state register of Uzbekistan on 5 September 2026, registration number 3339849, tax identification number (ИНН/STIR) 313308723, principal activity 62.01.0 (computer programming).

Registered office: Toshkent shahri, Chilonzor tumani, Katta Navbahor MFY, S mavze, Uzbekistan. We publish the address only as far as the neighbourhood because the registered office is a residential one, and the remaining lines identify the household rather than the business. The full registered address is on the certificate of state registration and we will send it to any institution, payment provider or customer who asks at contact@techatpt.com.

That is the entity behind every subscription, invoice and refund. It is named the same way in the terms of service and the privacy policy, where it is the party you are contracting with and the party responsible for your data.
